|Cracow Double Reed Trio|
The Cracow Double Reed Trio was established by Marek Mleczko in 1998 as an ensemble attached to the chamber orchestra Capella Cracoviensis. Its members are outstanding musicians that accomplish their artistic activity not only in the orchestra performing but also in the field of chamber music and as soloists.
The repertoire of the Trio ranges from the Baroque to the contemporary music. Cracow Double Reed Trio performed on the most of the prestigious music festivals in Poland meeting enthusiastic reaction of the audience and critical acclaim. Cooperating with PWM and DUX Trio recorded in 2005 a CD with works by Polish composers of the twentieth century (Szałowski, Tansman, Lutoslawski, Spisak, Palester, Krauze) and a year later at the invitation of the Polish Bach Society recorded the Bach’s E flat major Sonata BWV 525 in their own transcription.
The Cracow Double Reed Trio members are teachers at the Academies of Music in Cracow and Katowice.
